Raffle Quilt 2009

The 2009 Raffle Quilt is "Petals Between the Ponds". It was designed by: Anton Haas Jr and Jan Heiling. Tony Haas hand painted the quilt's center. The hexagon flower blocks were machine pieced with hand-appliquéd centers by the guild members. Pat Roche of Just Quilting machine quilted the raffle quilt. The quilt measures approximately 100" by 104".

He will be sharing his trunk show of antique quilt tops that he and Paul Pilgrim have collected since the 1960's. Today the Pilgrim/Roy collection is composed of 2,500 quilts and quilt related objects, including fabrics and all kinds of antique sewing tools. Gerald E. Roy was one of the first board members of the Quilt Appraisal Program of the American Quilt Society (AQS). He helped establish guidelines for this certification program. He has also written many articles for national quilt magazines.
