Mary Lou Weidman will be coming to Northwest Quilters in February to teach two workshops.
Mary Lou started quilting in 1974 and she now teaches nationally and internationally. She started designing fabric in 1997 and has written several quilting books. Her latest book is Quilted Memories.
She will teach a one-day class, "Jots and Dots", on Saturday, Feb. 9. You will be making a stylized and whimsical flower garden.
From Monday through Wednesday, Feb. 11 - 13, she will have a class called "Quilted Memories/Celebrations of Life". We will be exploring what is important and dear to us: the people, places or maybe events that have touched us in some way. This is a class that touches the heart and the funny bone.
She will also be the program speaker at our regular meeting Monday evening.
If you would like to take both classes, please list your first preference. If the classes fill by Dec. 20th, we will have a drawing for each one. After that date, reservations will be filled in the order received. Members of Northwest Quilters will be given preference until that date.
In order to receive a refund, you will need to cancel your class enrollment by Jan. 8. After that date it may still be possible if we have a waiting list.
The classes will be held at the Sellwood United Methodist Church on SE 15th and Tacoma St. If you have any questions, call Lorle.
