Reaching Beyong Tradition with Foundation Paper Piecing

Judy Niemeyer is an international instructor known for her foundation paper piecing techniques and quilt patterns. Her company, Judy Niemeyer Quilting Inc., has published over 40 foundation paper-pieced quilt patterns in the last 10 years. Her quilts and patterns have become well known both nationally and internationally among quilters and quilt shop owners. The patterns include many sewing techniques commonly referred to as foundation paper piecing, traditional piecing, curved piecing, stripe piecing and appliqué.
Judy will lecture at our May meeting, Monday morning, May 14, 2007 with the presentation Reaching Beyond Tradition with Foundation Paper Piecing. She will teach a 3-day workshop, Tuesday, May 15 through Thursday, May 17, 2007, at Sellwood Methodist Church, corner of S.E. 15th and Tacoma.

Students will pick from 7 different patterns ranging from beginner to advanced skill level. These patterns can be viewed on Judy's website at www.quiltworx.com and purchased there or at our local quilt shops. Pre-class instructions and the supply list will be sent as I receive your registration, allowing time for preparation of the foundation paper templates and cutting of fabric prior to the class.
Deposits of $100 are required for registration. Registrations will be accepted on a "1st come 1st serve" basis limited to NWQ members only. Non-member registrations will be accepted after March 31st. If you must cancel or your remaining registration balance is not received by April 30th, refunds will be given if your spot can be filled (minus $10 cancellation fee).
