"Traveler's Quilt"

Workshop: Tuesday, October 11, 2011, 9 am-4 pm OR Wednesday, October 12, 2011, 9 am - 4 pm

Take the inspiration of your trip and the material you've gathered to create a wall hanging. Collecting, designing and execution of a Traveler's Quilt are discussed. Souvenir, fabric and technique sample boards are provided to show examples of what to gather for your own Traveler's Quilt.

Workshop: Tuesday, October 11, 9-4 OR
Wednesday October 12, 9-4

Place: Immanuel Lutheran Church, 7810 S.E. 15th, Portland, OR

As the holidays approach, with the thought of gift-giving in mind, for the new quilter, one who is a scrapbooker or you who loves to collect, shoot pictures and put it all together. Remember your summer trip, weekend getaway or the retreat? How about the new grandchild, wedding, puppies, school day, retirement or fantasy. Create a really fun and quick wall hanging or larger project that can be your own or make it a group/children/family affair.

Members: $10.00; Non-members: $35.00;
Lunch: Bring your brown bag lunch. Coffee, ice tea and dessert will be provided.
There is also a Materials Fee of $15 per student (payable to the teacher).
