Praise Close Almost Winter IIIn this workshop, LIsa will teach this fun background along with several appliqué and embellishment techniques. Practical introduction to the art quilt based on Lisa's easy landscape method. Students are exposed to a number of techniques including fusible raw-edge appliqué, machine quilting and free-motion embroidery. Create a beautiful and graceful tree. Wonderful trees emerge in this layering, build-as-you-go approach. Backgrounds of different colors lend themselves to creating landscapes of the seasons. The workshop also teaches how to apply lettering to quilts entirely with thread. The results are stunning. The letters are lacey and transparent creating a rich texture. The lettering can be the focus of the quilt or an added embellishment for inspiration.
