Sally Collins is an award-winning quiltmaker, teacher and author who has been quilting since 11978 and teaching since 1985. Heer quilts range in size from small to wall size and although she is most recognized for her quality workmanship, attention to detail and teaching expertise, her continual love and interest is in the process of quiltmaking, the journey. My Stars Workshop: Tuesday, April 14, 2015, 9am-4pm. This project combines 3" and 1-1/2" sawtooth stars with accuracy being the focus as students create double half-square triangle units to create the block(s). Students can choose either one or both sizes, depending on their skill level. Class time will be spent between lecture, explanation, demonstration and student sewing time. Skill Level: Very Confident Beginner and Beyond.
Pieced Baskets Workshop: Wednesday, April 15, 2015, 9am-4pm. This class will focus on precision sewing, quality workmanship and multiple half-square triangle techniques to create a lovely basket block in two different sizes (1-7/8" and 3-1/8"). Students can choppse either one or both sizes, depending on their skill level. Class time is spent between lecture, explanation, demonstration and student sewing time. Skill Level: Very Confident Beginner and Beyond.
The fee for each workshop is $65 for NWQ members, $85 for non-members.
