Coleen presented her method during our February meeting 'Northwest Quilters member demos' and has agreed to teach her method in this workshop!

Coleen shares her tips and techniques for painting your own mini coloring quilt with textile paints. She'll share the techniques she uses on her own #coloringquilts for color blending, paint application, shading and layering. She'll also present strategies for dealing with "oopsies" and how to heat set the finished quilt so it can be machine washable.

Students will learn to feel confident about using textile paints to color their own fabric and quilted projects. Coleen has over 30 years painting experience and has a lot of tips and techniques to share with you so that you can get the best results.

Required kit fee of $45 includes a unique Coloring Quilt -- a 9 x 18 inch Doodle Style Coloring Quilt, pre-quilted using Dye Ready Fabric and Double Batting of Warm and Natural Soft and Bright Poly and Hobbs 80/20. Backing of quilter's quality muslin. No two mini coloring quilts are exactly the same! Also included in the kit: Jacquard Textile Color Exciter Pack -- 9 colors of textile paints.

Class size is limited to 15 and registrationn will cut off on April 11 to give Coleen time to prepare kits, so if you are interested, please do not delay.
